Relief.

I had my scan yesterday and my oncologist called me today at 11:30 (she's great!) with the news that there is nothing showing up in my chest or abdomen (my liver and lungs are still clean!). Yipppee! What a great thing to hear on my first day of the holiday vacation. Merry Christmas to me!!

This doesn't mean I'm cancer free of course. There is most definitely some cancer in my breast and it is growing, so (and I can't believe I'm saying this) I'm looking forward to getting back on treatment.

  1. This is excellent news!! A big ‘whew’ is in order!

Yes, it’s quite oxymoronic, but starting treatment again is something to look forward too! I hope that the side effects are not quite as horrendous (I know it’s a relative thing!)

I hope you are able to work in a couple of fun things before the treatment starts.

    Love, Jane

We're thrilled with your news; a wonderful Christmas present! I hope you'll be able to enjoy some good times during your vacation. And I hope the tykerb treats you more gently this time.

  3. This is wonderful news, Eileen!! Wonderful for you and Keith, and for all of us as well. We'll now be working on visualizing the Tykerb gobbling up those cancer cells in the breast at record rates over Christmas. Merry Christmas and wishes that you and Keith find his parents, particularly his Mom doing better than you expected, that your ski cottage is a pleasant refuge for the times that you're not feeling well and, most important, that you and Keith manage to enjoy a few good times during the Christams vacation. love, Sheila, Larry and purrs from Nona

  6. Great news! The best Christmas present ever! Now as for the Tykerb timing - that's not so good, but it will be comforting to know that those cancer cells will be getting hit. Hope the trip to the UP is relaxing and filled with some fun moments in between the tykerb moments. I hope you find Keith's family (especially his mom) in good spirits. Enjoy some fun now before the regime begins. Love from all of us, Ellen
