continuing to improve
Eileen was pleased to get rid of a few extra lines yesterday and this morning. She's now much more mobile. It's still a challenge to get comfortable, and I think she's pretty resigned to the discomfort (thankfully, it's not really pain) for a while. We're both still processing the fact that someone was touching her brain only a couple days ago. This is all extremely surreal!

The whole ordeal is surreal, you guys are handling it in a way that just confirms how strong you are. I know there are private moments that bring you to your knees, but every time you've gotten back up. That is a sign of a true winner in life. I am so glad she has made it through the surgery and hope that rehab is swift. Thoughts and Prayers always!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear that there's no really comfortable position for you, Eileen. No way to prop up the head with pillows and protect the wounded part? Yes, it's amazing to think of the surgery that can be done. I figure that the surgeon, upon opening the little door onto Eileen's brain, remarked on what a mighty fine brain it was -something we've all known for years! Take care, get some rest & good eats, and keep those updates coming. love, Sheila
ReplyDeleteGreetings to you both! Thanks for keeping us, updated, Keith!
ReplyDeleteI hadn’t even thought about the problem of finding a comfortable position. But of course, it makes a lot of sense. I hope that you find a creative way of getting some rest, Eileen. And, you too, Keith.
Take good care.
Love, Jane
The whole week has been surreal! Can't imagine how you two have held it all together. I hope Eileen can soon find a comfortable position so she can get some rest and heal. Take care & lots of love, Ellen
ReplyDeleteYou guys have been through so much over the past year and a half, culminating with this week. It's surreal from NC, so I can only imagine how surreal it must be from SF. You both are strong, hang in there.
ReplyDeleteLove,
